Arvind Rao brings 25+ years of plastics experience in both technical and commercial roles. He is a 10-year member of the Society of Plastics Engineers and has presented papers on material selection, polymer chemistry and application development.
He started his career as a formulations chemist for both thermoplastic and thermosetting compounds. As a Sr. Plastics Engineer at Delphi Corporation and General Motors, Arvind focused on material selection, failure analysis and material characterization of powertrain applications (high temperature, chemical resistant and wear applications). Most recently, Arvind was a Market Development Manager at GE Plastics for the high performance ULTEM and LNP products lines. ln this capacity, he worked with OEM’s in the medical, defense, consumer electronics, document management and industrial markets.
